That’s right, the day is (almost) finally here. Demonica is done and we’re beyond ready to show it off. I’ve been lucky enough to see it and trust me, it was worth the wait. The premiere will by Saturday, March 22 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center begining at 7:00 pm sharp with a $5 admission (Cast and Crew get in free.)

Even though the movie is done and ready to show we still need all of your help in spreading the word and filling as many of those seats as possible. Head on over to the Facebook page and hit “like” and “Share” and “whatever else they’ve added” to let all of your friends and family know to come out and support local Iowa film.

If you want to be an extra-special helper then forward on our press release to your local news outlet!

PRESCRIBED FILMS TO PREMIERE NEWEST RELEASE AT THE FAIRFIELD ARTS AND CONVENTION CENTER

Demonica Represents the Latest Release from Prescribed Films

Demonica, Prescribed Films latest horror comedy movie will premiere March 22, 2014 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center (200 N. Main, Fairfield, IA 52556) to begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is only $5.

DEMONICA

Suggested “R” rating

In 1986 a group of teens decides to have one hell of an afterhours party at the local skating rink. Little do they know their party is going to be crashed by devilish creatures; released from a necklace possessed by an ancient evil.

Now the kids must choose between saving themselves and risking certain death in a human versus demon roller derby battle royale to save the world. They’re about to find out that the only thing worse than demons is demons…on skates!

Demonica was filmed on location in Ottumwa, Oskaloosa, Eddyville, and Fairfield in the summer of 2012 with cast and crew coming from all over Iowa. However, the project began many months earlier in preproduction taking place in Ottumwa, Iowa City, and Des Moines. The film represents the 37th release from Prescribed Films and it is currently in consideration to screen at the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.

About Prescribed Films

If you’re sick, we’ve got your flick! I think the tag line says it all. Whether it is comedy or horror that you’re ailing for, Prescribed Films has the cure. Formed in 2000, PF has been working movie magic with one goal in mind, creating movies that people love to watch. And while the process hasn’t always been easy, the dedication of PF founders Mike Saunders and Jason Bolinger has never wavered. “I remember when our editing bay was a string of VHS recorders. Things have come a long way for us,” says Mike Saunders. Even through the hardest of times and the tightest of budgets, Prescribed Films has kept its focus. Jason Bolinger illustrates this focus. “It’s always been about the audience. On every set, we’re always trying to push the envelope and give our audience what it wants.” So far, they’ve delivered. Each movie from Prescribed Films has been funnier, gorier, more shocking and more exciting than the last.
